    • The Cape Winelands is the largest wine-producing region in the Western Cape. With a selection of over 200 cellars to choose from, you are guaranteed to taste some of the finest wines in the world. Experience our rich historical and cultural heritage while visiting quaint villages.
    • This full-day drive will include the country’s principal wine routes of Paarl, Stellenbosch, and Franschhoek, and a stop en route for lunch.

  • Paarl


    • The day starts with a visit to Paarl where you will be struck by the beauty of the Valley, the pristine blue sky, the rolling vineyards, and the Pearl of Paarl set high above the valley.
    • The Fairview Tasting Room is one of the most popular Cape wine lands destinations, building on a reputation that stretches back to the 1970′s. Their custom-designed pods offer a tasting selection of 6 different wines with dedicated hosts to guide and assist guests.
  • Drakenstein Correctional Centre


    • From Paarl, continue north-west to the beautiful village of Franschhoek, near the Drakenstein Mountains, make a stop at Drakenstein Correctional Centre, the prison is famous for being the location where Nelson Mandela spent the last part of his imprisonment for being a political terrorist.
  • Franschhoek


    • Franschhoek, this charming town in the most picturesque valley, retains a strong, French Huguenot style represented in the longstanding architecture and lifestyle.
    • Experience the Wine Tram, this unique tram service runs from the historic Franschhoek Village and stops at some of South Africa’s oldest and most renowned wine estates.

    • Head to Stellenbosch, a thriving university town that’s the second-oldest European settlement in the Western Cape, dating to 1679. Here you can join a walking tour that covers both the region’s history and its food.
    • Your guide leads you in a small group along the town’s oak-lined streets while telling you more about Stellenbosch. As you hop between cafés, restaurants and delicatessens, you’ll pass grand Cape Dutch buildings left over from the colonial era.
    • Enjoy a final wine tasting before returning to the bustle of the city after an enthralling day in the countryside. The tour ends with drop off at your hotel.
